England Local Election Results 2023

English Local Election Results 2023 (councils controlled) visualised using p5.js. Based on the game Snake.

This isn't a finished release, but a quick creative coding experiment.

The original data has been summarised with the “Other” category omitted to focus on the central parties. The parties represented are: Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green. The number of councillors won by each party has been divided by 100 and rounded.

So much of this was pulled from Daniel Shiffman’s Coding Challenge #3: The Snake Game, so full credit to him.

This was just a bit of fun really!
